That was a little disappointing. At this rate, there can't be much more to the story than a conclusion.
Is the mystery item the coil-y screw of a guitar or bass bridge? I don't know what the technical term is.
Its a half pack of breathsavers.
^ Yeah. They're for Yauch 'cause everybody knows how bad his breath smells. ;P
I think it's a half pack of Rolaids. MMM will do anything to get them back!
I want to hear more of the song and see more of the story, but I'm not getting much of either one. :(
More, more, more! We are difficult to please.
How long does it take to reformat a message board?
well it looks like a whole new site doesn't it, you do it
There's nothing to the new site. It's a simple flash program on the main age & a tour dates page in php. The message board is pre-designed by the service (www.vbulletin.com). I COULD redo it all, but it would only take me one day.
the oscope cam isn't working either :(
Back to the video...
I'm beginning to doubt that Yauch directed this video. It doesn't have his touch, unless he's abandoned his past style for something new. It lacks those sublimely humorous moments Yauch has always put in their videos -- what I call "the little touches": the bunny slippers in the "Body Movin'" video, the dog's paw moving the chess piece in the "Day in the Life of Hornblower," Sasquatch's rage at seeing the Beastie Boys poster in the "Triple Trouble" video -- just to name a few. The shot of Mike through the metal fence is a bit cliche -- like somebody said, "Oh, that shot would be arty!" It doesn't seem very Yauchish to me.
Maybe I'm wrong and the sublime moment will come at the end.
funky four i mean that there will be a whole new site, hence what they're working on at the minute, including a re design of the messageboard. i think it kinda makes sense to launch everything new at the same time, the current state is just whilst that's on going i'd imagine.
it's a micro-film that mike has acquired. anyone who's seen a spy movie before will tell ya. it's a roll of photos. of documents or people or whatever.
when you say that there's nothing to the site right now, that's the idea. when they launch the new one i doubt this'll be the front page anymore. i'm sure the new site will be much more emphatic than the temp that's currently up.
i hope yauch is mike's boss and that's who he's going to see!! *double-crosses fingers*
> hot sauce - i guess, that clichees are exactly the point - they have been filmed to look that way, the whole atmosphere is cliche, even the suits the characters are wearing on and their body language :-) as picked from a good old detective comic
There's a difference between mimicking or mocking a style (which is what I think you're talking about, ogy) and being cliche.
All I'm saying is Yauch's directing is more original and clever than what I'm seeing in these clips.
Are we going to have clips over the weekend or do we have to wait until Monday to see the next installment?
I'm no genius but I'm guessing they've just took the bbs down to keep the site minimal for now and have it focused on the new album.
The site is probably starting to get media interest and they're probably not going to get some of the humour used on the bored.
According to tpk, Beastieboys.com and its message board should be back in full on Monday or Tuesday.
Can someone sell these guys some shoes to complete the suits.
That footwear is ridiculous.
Don't they have any Italian friends to teach them this stuff?
and get some new socks aswell :p
