"Off the Grid" is my least favorite song on the album. In fact, at the listening party, I said aloud, "I'm not feeling it." Everyone in the room laughed at my comment.

I like this one much better. I like all the snippets better than the Rat Cage song they rolled out last week. I guess it was smart to lead with the weak one?

HS,

How can you not "feel" it? It's hot shit! I love it.

I just wasn't feeling it like the other songs, which I think are much better than this song.

I don't think it's bad.

My flame on this album is now officially lit (as if it wasn't already)....Off The Grid goes off...that shit is instant classic!! I like it soo much better then Rat Cage....both are dope but those effects when it kicks in on OTG gives the song a crazy nostalgic feel...what does that mean? I have no idea...that's why I dig it!!

Sasquatch is going to be sick!!!!!

Rat Cage weakest one?

IMO, it's got the best vibe/tune.. mind you the others are just snippets.. I agree with the above I think Off the Grid is weak.. when I kicks in it just sounds like a bunch of noise (dont mean that to sound harsh) I like the catchy tunes better, it's not catchy. Overall it sounds like this record is going to be good.

I like The Rat Cage better than this one. Off the Grid goes on for a long time but it doesn't get anywhere.

The paintings in their studio look like the French flag.

It's a good sign that we don't agree on what we've heard so far. Perhaps there will be something for almost everyone on the new album. : ) I was depressed after hearing Rat Cage, but I'm much much more hopeful now.

Look whatever you think about the new album...you have to admire the BOYS. There is no band out there doing what they do...name a musical style they have not experimented with...from punk to country. admire that. they have something for everyone. I will always be a fan.

I agree with you, Anon. I can't think of any other band who has experimented with musical genres and styles as much as the Beastie Boys have. This is why they are highly respected by many musicians and loved by music fans (not just hip-hop fans).

hey! Is that my new favourite band?!
