"Damn! It is hot up in this mofo!" said Adam Horovitz to the Virgin Festival audience in Baltimore, Maryland, on Saturday evening.
The oppressive heat, which reached close to 100 degrees fahrenheit, made it difficult for both the artists and audience at the festival to be very energetic throughout the day. And darn those Beastie Boys! They made the temperature rise a little higher in Baltimore with their performance.

if anybody has the full version of Gratitude please post it somewhere.
Sounds like it was hotter than Satan's nutsack. Hope everyone did ok in the heat.
-D, chillin' in the Northwest
ahahahaha love that video. oh, horovitz. oh, yauch... :D
Oh my sweet Jeeeeeesus that interview absolutely warmed my heart. Oh Horoveezy, you so cute! That lil wave?! Yauch like tellin him to participate? The Pillow Fight? *squeal*
Everybody at the festival was laying around like Horovitz in the Spin video. The heat made you want to lounge and sleep.
Btw, I saw Cheap Trick and Amy Winehouse. Cheap Trick were awesome. They were one my favorite sets of the entire festival. Poor Amy Winehouse. Clearly, she is suffering from an eating disorder.
For me, the Beastie Boys' set at Virgin Festival was solid, but nothing extraordinary. No meatball on top of the spaghetti. Just spaghetti. Good spaghetti nevertheless -- but I know it tastes better with the meatball on top. Yaknowhatiamsayin'?
The Gala Events have spoiled me. I prefer the intimacy of that setting over a huge crowd standing in a field.
I have a short clip of Sabrosa from the virgin fest if you'd like it for your records. :)
