Sigh...another issue with the sound. When it's happening frequently from gig to gig, I really start to wonder if they have a problem with their own techs. So annoying.

I was there and as much as I hate to say it, I wasn't really impressed. I saw the Boys back in '04 and it was nothing short of amazing, but last nights show just seemed to lack, or better yet connect with me on any sort of level. As it's be written, the sound left quite a bit to be desired and just seemed really "off" for a lot of their set. One of my favorite (if not most surreal )moments of the evening was when they played Sabotage, there was this kid a few feet away from me tripping his ass off on 'shrooms and he kept puking on himself and kept falling down, but dammit; he belted out the lyrics and stayed on beat like he was Horovitz himself. It was classic!!! In hindsight, I knew that seeing them in a festival type setting vs. a more intimate venue would present these types of issues, but eh, whatever; it's the mother-truckin' Beastie Boys!!! Word!!!!

Beastie Boys have a really great sound team. Tim and Sean know their shit. With Terminal 5, I really believe it was the venue that was to blame for the bad sound.

It's possible the Beastie Boys might not have soundchecked before the shows. I didn't hear any soundcheck at Terminal 5.

I remember hearing them play Tough Guy at "soundcheck" at Terminal 5...thats about it though, maybe one more... hopefully the mexican fans get a treat for being so paitent.

When did Beastie Boys soundcheck at Terminal 5? All I could hear was that crappy hipster band across the street playing.

Everyone was tripping, shrooming, stoned, or drunk. I'm sure 95% of the people who saw the Beasties don't remember seeing them.

I thought they were great but wish I could have gotten closer to the stage. I was too far back to get photos or video.

I read on the boards that they dropped a quick verse of some new shit right after Ch-check it....anybody got any vids from that part of the show?

I have traveled to Maryland, Detroit, New Orleans, and many other places to catch the boys.
Of the many times I've seen them, I think this was the best show ever. They were engergetic, sounded great, excellent mix.
    Totally amazing.
Saw them earlier in the week at Terminal 5 in NYC. The sound was awful, horrible venue. Felt kind of sorry for them.
