Beastie Boys radio shows available to download

In case you missed today's excellent dance-themed show, you can now listen to and/or download the podcast from Little Radio's web site. There are also downloads available from the Beastie Boys' previous shows.

Oh, and remember what Horovitz said! Beastie Boys Radio is coming on every week!

Thanks for posting the link! I didn't hear all of the show. Did they say why MCA was missing at the beginning of the show?

the theme was whack

It was good hearing the band on the radio again. A theme is a nice idea, but it shouldn't interfere with choosing good music to play. In the case of today's show, I think the theme did interfere.

My favorite parts were the shout-out to the dogs and Horovitz' chastising Mike for playing an "adult" song on their family radio show.

@Brody: Yauch said he was "editing." He didn't specify what he was editing.

I agree some of the songs were weak, but I still liked the show. They should do a show of all the songs they have sampled.

Thanks a lot!
setlist anyone?

I didn't post a playlist because I figured the Playlist King, or whatever his name is, would post it to the MB. That didn't happen?

I jotted some notes.

I cleaned up my notes, which I wasn't too serious about taking. Part of the fun (at least for me) of the radio shows in the previous years was identifying the songs on the MB with other fans. But the Playlist King ruined that fun by posting the playlists. It made it unnecessary to even try to identify the songs.

Below is what I noted from the show. I might have missed one song at the beginning. The songs I didn't recognize are indicated with question marks.

Im just glad they are back. I think it was great, in every show there are weak songs but overall very good.

I liked the show very much. I do not hear music like they play. I feel ashamed that I do not know any of the songs except MIA.

It's god to hear them on the radio again.

Thanks for posting the playlist and notes.

Hey all,

I got lost in the blogosphere on this one and found this nice little gem about Mike D inviting Zoe (of Zoe Radio) to open for them in LA this year: http://www.zoeradio.com/?p=38

Zoe's dad, who worked with the Beastie Boys, is here: http://www.fistfulayen.com/blog/ Smart, funny stuff.
