Last year, Beastie Boys performed at the Hiro Ballroom for Gimme Shelter: Rock & Rescue NYC. This year, Adam Horovitz has been announced as a guest host, and Money Mark has been listed as a performer! Gimme Shelter 2007 will take place on November 13th. Go to their site to purchase tickets. Did they have hosts at last year's benefit?
I don't remember any hosts on stage last year. They had a mistress of ceremonies who introduced most of the acts and handled announcements.
I kinda think the host's job is to entertain the big-money tables.
Damn, they sure up'd their prices by 200%...and the line up is clearly not as great as 2006. Although, if the bboys announced they were playing a show, id fly down immediatly after such a fuckin incredible show last year. Words cant describe that 2006 set.

I think Horovitz should get the band's dogs together and do a dog act for the benefit. Yauch's dog knows how to do tricks. I saw her perform on the O-scope cam.
