Beastie Boys: Register to Vote!! / Vote Obama 2008

Adam Yauch has previously given his support for Barack Obama for president. Now on Beastieboys.com, Beastie Boys have shown a written support for the Democratic party’s candidate for president of the United States.

During the last election, the band just told people NOT to vote for George Bush, so it’s a change to see them name a candidate, even though we got the point then.

Here’s what the Beastie Boys say on their website:

Register to Vote!! / Vote Obama 2008 / Early Voting

I still don't understand how Bush got elected for a second term. It makes me wonder about America.

Bush didn't get elected: His Supreme Court appointed him the first time, and massive vote fraud caused him to be "elected" the second time around.

they did name a candidate last year. unfortunately all they were able to muster in support of Kerry was "he cant be as bad as bush." Which is pretty sad when you consider that this was the man they were basically using their name to back and all they had was "he cant be as bad as bush"

They never publicly supported a single candidate as "Beastie Boys" in the last election because they supported different parties. Horovitz and Diamond went with the Democratic party; Yauch went with the Green party. Read Horovitz' and Diamond's thoughts on Bush during the last election here:
