The time between Beastie Boys album has never been short, but with this album we had the stress of worrying about Yauch too. I appreciate him giving us the news.

How are we to appreciate a remix album when we have not heard the original version of the songs? It's either a stupid or genius move by the boys. I guess we'll see on May 3.

i don't think it means remix in the sense that they will be completely transformed. just a little spruced up i guess. and well, as you point out, we don't know what the originals sounded like. so in my mind there's no real loss, it's shiny, new and perfected :)
Alex : It is a positive way of looking at it. I find most remixes to be not good but I will try to keep an open mind about it.

Yauch probably has the beard to cover his scar up, I don’t know my theory. Either way I’m so happy he’s feeling GOOD and that album is on the way. Love the artwork!
My theory is the beard & mustache are supposed to distract you from noticing how thin he is.

Does anyone know what the deal is with the EMI Japan version labelled as Hot Sauce Committee Part 1 that is supposed to be released on the 19th April and has a bonus track ?

Thanks very much Hot Sauce, I've noticed that amazon.co.uk is listing their version of Hot Sauce Committee as a "clean" import. Even though they'll probably end up stocking the regular version too, I just wondered, who thinks the beastie boys might go the extra mile and re-rhyme certain lyrics or is it more likely to be the typical blanking out of certain words ?
