Beastie Boys tipped to play Voodoo Festival

In YET MORE festival news, it appears that Beastie Boys will be headlining the first night of the Voodoo Experience (aka Voodoo Festival) in New Orleans on October 30. A slip-up on the official festival web site displayed the news (it has been removed). Interested fans may want to take advantage of the cheap early-bird tickets now — but keep in mind the line-up remains unconfirmed and changes can occur. The line-up will be announced on June 20.

Beastie Boys confirmed for Austin City Limits 2009

Beastie Boys are confirmed to play at Austin City Limits, which takes place October 2-4 in Austin, Texas. Festival organizers announced the line-up today. Tickets for the festival are available to purchase HERE.

Word is the Beastie Boys' set at ACL will be recorded for a future Austin City Limits TV show broadcast on PBS.

Update: A story posted on the ACL blog confirms the Beastie Boys will indeed be filming a live set for the TV show.

Beastie Boys confirmed for Lollapalooza 2009

The Beastie Boys appearance at Lollapalooza 2009 is now confirmed. The line-up for the Chicago music festival, which takes place August 7-9, was officially announced today. Advance tickets are available to purchase now.

Beastie Boys attend film premiere

Beastie Boys attended the premiere of Grey Gardens, a HBO film based on the 1975 documentary by the Maysles Brothers, at the Ziegeld Theater in New York City on April 14. Beastie Boys to headline Outside Lands Festival



Beastie Boys will be headlining one day of the three-day Outside Lands Festival, which takes place August 28-30 in San Francisco. The announcement was made in an advertisement posted on the San Francisco Chronicle's web site (see above). The full line-up for the festival will be posted later today on the festival's official web site. Ticket presale begins this Wednesday (April 15).
