It's going to be either funny as hell or embarrassingly stupid.
Beastie Boys are hopping on the nostalgia train. Yay? Sorry..it's hard to not be cynical.
It's going to be a serious drama.
I'm not a fan of the drug & poop joke movies those actors make but I trust Yauch to make something good. I can't wait to see it.
Of course it'll be stupid if it deals with that time period.
hopefully it'll be stupid-funny.
File this under 'Projects Fan Will Probably Never See or Hear'
Triple Trouble has a point. Only celebrities, movie people and the privileged will see it at Sundance. It will take months before the video version is on MTV for the public. It's disappointing after the wait and anxiety over Yauch's health, a short film at Sundance is how the Beastie Boys are saying "We're back!" I was hoping for something for fans first. I guess it was too much to hope for.
I expect it will be hilarious. I agree it will be a long wait before fans get to see it.
I hope we get to see the film soon but I'm more interested in hearing the new album. Has Yauch said what the film is about exactly? Like the story/plot??
Yauch's film is about a young band who make a hit record and then get screwed over by their manager. Its TV premiere will be on the Oxygen network after the season finale of "Running Russell Simmons."
Let Yauch have his Sundance moment without criticism. He has earned it.
I just saw on the IMDb page that Losel Yauch is in the cast as Skateboarder, isn't that Yauch's daughter?
