So sad. It sounds like he was quite a character.
My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. It must be hard for the Beastie Boys to lose such a friend.
Sad news for the Beasties. Thanks for posting the captain's GR mag article. I've never read it before. It's clear he was a special individual.
I was wondering if the Beastie Boys & he remained close friends and then I saw what Adrock posted at beastieboys.com. Rest in peace, Sean.

Sad day. RIP captain...
A little known fact about sean carasov (cappy) the captain. He was my hero when I met him late 80's in manhattan , cause he wasn't lyin when he said he inherited officer serpico's west village apt with a great garden. Will miss ur bravado my man. Rest ,Max perlich
His death is a tragedy. He was a good friend..I will miss him forever.
I grew up with the guy, back in Maida Vale London... He was so passionate about music.
Funny enough,I wanted to get back in touch with him... seeing I hate scientology too...
he was there back in the punk days, and I was only talking about last week, when I found out Arri Up from the Slits died... I was a family friend... but had not seen him in 20 years... I met the Beastie Boy in Hong Kong, back in 96,
and past my regards to him... real sad news...
I knew him well in London, back in the punk days,
real sad...
