On January 12, Adam Yauch attended the National Board of Review Awards Gala in New York City. The event, which was held at Cipriani's, honored the best in film for 2009. Two of Oscilloscope's films, Oren Moverman's The Messenger and Anders Østergaard's Burma VJ, earned awards at the ceremony.

YES!!!! He's looking good!! I'm so happy to see these photos. :)
Wow it's Yauch. He looks healthier than in the last pics. Is it ok to make fun of his hair or is it too soon after the cancer?
Congrats to Oscope. The Messenger is getting a lot of good reviews. I'm going to try to see it. It's good to see Yauch out and having fun after all the stuff he's gone through.
@Fittonia: Nay! Thou shalt not make fun of a single lovely gray hair on Yauch's pretty head! ;)
I hate to sound like an ungrateful bastard fan but when is Yauch going to put some time into the Beastie Boys? I'm beginning to think the Beastie Boys don't exist anymore.
@Saber Yauch mentioned in a recent interview that he has been working on a Beastie Boys video. Exactly what video is unclear. Presumably, it's a video for whatever the next single from HSC will be.
I read what MCA said to Movie Maker about looking at life differently now. I hope he still wants to be a Beastie Boy.
yauch's da man but his wig look like spagheti
HA HA! Exactly!
Who said he is wearing a wig? MCA went through radiation, not chemotherapy.
Wig is a hairdo, not an actual wig. Duh.
Can he talk & sing ok?
