It's dope as fuck! Beastie Boys ought to team up with other rappers all the time.
I'm not really feeling it, but I love Nas and The Beastie Boys.
YAY x 1 million!!!! I <3 Beastie Boys!
Get well soon MCA. We love you!!
real hip hop shit
reppin' nyc
I love the new song. I really like MCA's rhymes & I'm not saying so because of his news. When he says the line 'on and on until the crack of dawn' it takes us back to Pass the Mic. Past & present collide with a few words. Pretty cool.
Adrock's rhyme about the tartar sauce is hilarious.
It sounds way better than the leaked mp3.
I vote yay on this one. Truth be told though, I thought WTF at first. It's a grower.
It's great to hear them doing their thing and reminding people what hip hop is about.
Yeah I agree with Tigermama. It gets better after a few listens. Kind of hard to get the vibe at first.
It would be cool if they do more Nas collabos on other songs as well, perhaps in concert sometime, or remixes.
MCA - get better my man. We're all thinking of you boieeeeeeeeeee!
it's decent but a throwaway because they won't play it live again
After the first listen I'm diggin' it. I was mainly focused on the production side of the song because I thought TT5B was terrible in terms of mixing the sounds, voices and adding fx. I like the way their voices 'sit' well with all the other noises and like the 'sound' of it. Hope the rest of the album is mixed similarly.
I agree the official release sounds a lot better than the leaked one. Is that Mike talking at the end of the song?
Not sure if it's true, but I heard they got a different engineer than the guy who did TT5B. Are there credits on the vinyl single? I haven't gotten mine in the mail yet.
love the beasties. fuck cancer.
It sounds like Mike to me at the end.
Hey I like the production on TT5B. I think it's a very well done album. Not my fave of course, but still quite good!
I frickin' LOVE Crawlspace and Hey Fuck You. That's good shit.
I like it a lot! Good work Beastie Boys and Nas!! I can't wait to see the video.
Stay strong MCA! Much love...
I am still in shock about yesterday's news. It's hard to be happy about a new song. It seems unimportant now.
I was impressed with Too Many Rappers right after seeing the Bonnaroo video. The song has a positive energy and message even though some dissing is in there. It's not a throwaway. There's a possibility they could do the song live without Nas by changing up a lyric or two.
i don't like the computer sound. they're better with organic hip hop. but it's a dope track. i expect i'll enjoy the album
da shit is hott
Hip-hop has a pulse again.
“too many rappers and still not enough emcees” = truth
I dig this collaboration. Too bad about MCA though...I hope it works out ok for him.
Adam/MCA~Get Well&Good Luck In Surgery!I'll be praying&thinking of you.
I LOVE YOU!
sniff*sniff*
i almost cried when i heard about this.
where's the full song? all i'm seeing is the 30 second snippet...
@Lon Chaney: The vinyl single comes in a plain die-cut sleeve. There's no additional info on it that you can't see in the photo in this post.
@Jeff: The IMEEM player embedded in this post contains the full song.
I'm digging the new song. It has such a good flow.
i thought meh at first but i was listening to the leaked mp3. the real mp3 is shits better. i like it now. all the words in the song are true. beastie boys are teachers schoolin the rap world!!
I liked it when I was listening to a shitty mp3 and I like it even better now I've heard it right. This will keep me satisfied until HSC gets released or until Adrock puts out his country album.
