Just imagine the 42nd Street C train bathroom: Lyrics to "B Boys in the Cut"
Figuring out a Beastie Boys lyric requires knowing a thing or two about the band. There are rules. The first rule is they never rap outside their field of knowledge or area of interest (e.g., arcade and video games, television shows, movies, animals, food). The second rule is they follow the traditional rules of hip-hop music-making (e.g., acknowledge the old school, boast about themselves, voice their beefs). The third rule is no rhyme is too ridiculous or stupid for them to use.
So, with those rules in mind, the Beastiemania.com team have been deciphering the lyrics to the two new songs, "B Boys in the Cut" and "Lee Majors Come Around."
We're still debating "Lee Majors Come Around" (in particular, Yauch's first verse and Mike's third verse), but we feel fairly confident about our transcription of "B Boys in the Cut." View the lyrics HERE. If you have any corrections or suggested changes to the lyrics, email them to staff @ beastiemania.com or post them in the comments.

I think they're right. Good work!
'Now I'm-a set it off from up inside this pitch'
It's bitch not pitch.
Is B boys in the Cut on the new album?
adrock's rhymes are the best
@Lon Chaney: We debated bitch vs pitch. It does sounds like he says "bitch," but we agreed Yauch is too PC now to use the word on recordings.
@funkyfour: I agree that Adrock's rhymes are the best in this song. His third verse (I'm like Oscar the Grouch) is the best because of the imagery, but I also love Mike's third verse (I see you're looking at me). Mike using lolspeak -- "What him do? -- cracked me up, and I love hearing all the nicknames.
I like the Oscar the grouch part the best too. It makes me imagine Adrock as a muppet. :D
Adrock is a muppet
Before you contact us with changes/suggestions, make sure you refresh the lyrics page because we've already made a few changes since I originally made this post. Thanks y'all!
Is broad sword a euphemism?
Thanks to Beastiemania for the lyrics and all the good stuff!
We had a discussion and decided that Yauch does have a pottymouth. Bitch it is.
I like the Pretty Mike part.
"On the grand floor, time no disrespect"
should be:
"well Adrock, one of the greatest of all time, no disrespect"
if any of them is a muppet, it's mike
"Put us in the house and"
should be changed to
"PUNDITS in the house SAY" [MCA]
Also DOP is right about changing Mike's line.
@JB Inks: Thanks for the Pundits line correction! That one had us stumped and bothered because we knew we didn't have it right.
Thank you to everyone who contributed suggestions. At this point, we think the lyrics look much better. Take a look again if you haven't recently.
No problem. It does look a lot better.
